Saturday 28.11 - reopening Beursschouwburg
A result of the end of the #brusselslockdown we'll be reopening Beursschouwburg this Saturday, 28 november. To thank you all for your flexibility and we believe it's about time to celebrate (it's the last weekend of the focus The Kids Are All Right) we've decided to offer you this day for free (bought tickets will be refunded).
12:00 - 18:00 Expo Meggy Rustamova
12:00 - 22:00 Black Box Screening - Pauline Julier, La disparition des Aïtus
17:00 - Beurskafee open
19:00 - Drink Brussels Dance
20:30 - Jan Martens, Ode to the Attempt
22:00 - LowUp Label Night: Gan Gah
Pauline Julier La disparition des Aïtus
The Swiss Pauline Julier came across a small news item rather accidentally. Tuvalu, a forgotten archipelago of nine small islands in the Pacific Ocean, sees its existence threatened by rising sea levels. It is expected that the archipelago will be engulfed by water within less than 30 years.
Jan Martens Ode to the Attempt
The performance remains canceled on Friday 27th November. The performance on Saturday, November 28th will go ahead as planned.
We will also, due to an injury of the dancer Truus Bronkhorst, only show the performance Ode To The Attempt.
All tickets sold (both on Friday and Saturday) will be refunded. Please contact us before with your bank account number. Thanks a lot for for your flexibility!
We Are Paris
On the eve of the Climate Conference Conclusions in Paris we will make our final statement by the raised voice of our students, the generation of the future. They will speak up in the beautiful setting of the Beurskaffee and debate with a representative of the establishment. We will skype with our student delegation in Paris and listen to their experience.
Follow Me Philippe Beloul
This is the story of a citizen. A man. Two men. A bit like you. A bit like me. A little different. A little bit the same. The story of a double. The last judgement. Postponed. Communicated, written, shouted, on paper.
Gosie Vervloessem RECIPES FOR DISASTER - The magazine and tupperware party
The project Recipes for Disaster - The Magazine & Tupperware Party cooks up some crucial questions about classification and control: How do we cope with chaos in our daily lives? How to free ourselves from the quarantine of our own bathroom? How to argue for a messy and less sterile life in times of Ebola?
Wanted: kitchens in Brussels
Beursschouwburg is looking for a few, centrally located, kitchens to serve as a location for the project Recipes for Disaster: The Magazine & Tupperware Party by Brussels artist and theatermaker Gosie Vervloessem.
