Hiding is Pointless
For a generous dose of noise rock, you’ve got the right address with Raketkanon. The band brings an assembly of impressive musicians from the Ghent scene: we know singer Pieter-Paul Devos from Kapitan Korsakov, guitarist Jef Verbeeck, who exorcized his devils with hardcore and death-metal bands, drummer Pieter De Wilde plays with Raveyards and Tomàn drummer Lode Vlaeminck swops his drumsticks for bass synths with Raketkanon.
The spirited Raketkanon fuses The Melvins’ ‘sludgy’ sound with the Tomahawk experiment and The Buttonhole Surfers’ chaotic psychedelics. Guitars tuned too low, distorted vocals, reverberating bass synths and blazing drums make Raketkanon an unruly phenomenon that rips everyone and everything to shreds on their way through.
Jef Verbeeck: guitar (ex-Welkin, Helldozer & Black Harvest)
Pieter de Wilde: drums (Raveyards, ex-Waldorf)
Lode Vlaeminck: synths (Tomàn)
Pieter-Paul Devos: vocals (Kapitan Korsakov)
