Davis Freeman Karaoke (ART)

Karaoke (ART) is a “late-night festival show” in which we sing the karaoke classics. Forget the kitschy clip: in the background we’ll see videos made by famous international video artists.

Davis Freeman invited a group of fantastic video makers (from Gary Hill, Johan Grimonprez, Tim Etchells right through to Anouck De Clercq and many more) to make a video for the 30 most popular numbers. The participating artists set to work with the music and words in their own inimitable style. There’s just one proviso: everyone has to be able to sing along.

Lovers of contemporary video art and fans of the light-hearted karaoke genre unite!
