On 12 January 2026, we will once again honour the memory of Sourour Abouda, who died while in police custody three years ago to the day, on 12 January 2023.
To mark this commemoration, her family, friends and the committee will gather at Beursschouwburg, alongside anyone who feels moved by the quest for memory, truth and justice for Sourour. We will also remember other victims who died during encounters with the police, together with local and international families. Together, we will welcome new energy in the face of grief to connect spirituality and justice.
The day will be enlivened by moments of sharing, transmission of tools, musicians, film screenings and screen printing workshops. More details to come.
