‘At a certain point I realised that the “I” doesn't exist. So I said to myself: If the “I” doesn't exist, I have to construct one, or maybe even more than one.’ - Kathy Acker

During this reading group we delve into the literary work of punk-feminist-writer Kathy Acker. Her life and work has been the inspiration for the short movie Pirate Boys (which can be seen in our Black Box from 01.02 until 09.02). As Pirate Boys seeks out the queerness of Kathy Acker’s work, the reading group aims to open up a conversation on queering and how it challenges our shared and common ground.
