ILOG's music does not fit neatly in any box. The Berlin-based duo draws inspiration from jazz, improvisation, noise and electro-acoustics while crafting a new form of abstracted avant beat that clearly pays homage to hip hop, dubstep, house—any form of deep and cosmic groove. Yet the music you hear is performed in real time without pre- or post-production. The many fine layers of sharp rhythms, refined noise, deconstructed beats and deeply manipulated electro-acoustic samples form a refreshing combination of turntablism, sampling and virtuoso percussion.
