Bára Sigfúsdóttir & Noémie Goudal The Lover
premiere
The Lover is a reflection on western society, in which an artificial economy which seems to function on its own determines our standard of living, and in which the gap between humans and nature seems to grow by the minute.
The Lover is shown in the framework of Performatik, the Brussels performing arts biennale, organised by Kaaitheater. During Performatik, the Icelandic dancer Bára Sigfúsdóttir (she completed her studies at P.A.R.T.S. in 2011) is collaborating with the French visual artist Noémie Goudal and the Icelandic musician Borko.
An encounter between Sigfúsdóttir’s very special language of movement and the work of Goudal, who combines illusion, stage design and photography to create surreal landscapes.
