An audio-installation that examines the power in the act of speaking.
In the closed setting of a soundproof booth, you are given a simple script, and become an observer of your own interpretation. The act of speaking and listening at the same time becomes a theatrical and choreographic experience – an experience that is different for everyone!
The voice becomes detached from the body. It becomes a place for action, a surprise, a performance. Your voice plays a role outside yourself. It plays with you in the same way that you play with it. More than recognizing yourself in the stranger, Voicing Pieces invites you to recognize the stranger in yourself.
