See You – It’s time to play!
And suddenly, See You was born! (freely based on famous game Gotcha). See You! will be played for 3 months. It's the aim to remain invisible as long as possible from other participants whilst keeping an eye on as many other participants to "eliminate" them. To eliminate someone, you must secretly stick a sticker on the target. The Beursschouwburg building is Brussels' only free zone.
The winner of the game is the person who has not been eliminated and who has eliminated the most targets. Only the most creative and inventive persons will compete for victory and to win the fantastic Beursschouwburg prize.
Seeing without being seen, such is the message!
Game rules
At the start of the game, each participant receives an exclusive sticker on which the name of the target figures. Participants must keep this sticker in their pocket at all times! You eliminate a participant by sticking - without being seen - the sticker on your target. If your target sees you coming, the elimination is not valid and you’ll have to try again later. It is therefore very important to act subtly and to remain unnoticed. How to capture your target and eliminate it without being seen… well, that's your problem! You can receive tips in Beursschouwburg that can help you to find your target.
Once you have eliminated a player, you receive that person's sticker and can go looking for your next target. In this way, you try to eliminate as many participants as possible.
Once a participant eliminates a target, both the target and the person will have to confirm the elimination within the 24 hours via email seeyou@beursschouwburg.be.
You may not use any form of violence to eliminate your target.
In the event of a dispute on an elimination, the See You! team will have final say. They are perfectly aware of who you have to eliminate. Any derogation to the playing rules results in instant elimination.
As this is a game in the city, you can be eliminated everywhere: in a restaurant or a café, on the train or on the bus, at school or at work… the only place where you are safe is in the Beursschouwburg building or your home.
Once eliminated, the game is over for you.
Careful! If you have not eliminated a target within 14 days, your name will be published and you will be posted as an outlaw for 2 weeks. Outlaws can be eliminated by any participant still playing. If an outlaw player manages to eliminate someone, her/his outlaw status is immediately withdrawn. If you remain outlaw for 2 weeks (= without having eliminated anyone in 4 weeks), the game is over for you.
The great winner of the game will be the person who, at the end of the game, will not have been eliminated and will have eliminated the most targets. The winner of the game will receive a fabulous Beursschouwburg prize: an exclusive night during a Beursschouwburg activity, a Beursschouwburg bicycle, a one-year subscription to the Beursschouwburg and a succulent dinner cooked by our house chef.
The game starts on Saturday 13/02 and will end on Saturday 30/04.
Any incorrectly given data will lead to disqualification.
We reveal some carefully chosen bits of information when participants “buy a tip-off”, which they can get two ways:
- You receive a tip-off if you are there during the See You moments, for instance on the kick-start on 13/02. You receive two tip-offs every time you purchase a ticket for a gig, film, concert… You can either purchase a ticket at the reception desk during opening hours (10h – 18h, not at the box office in the evenings) or online. In both cases, you must send your ticket to seeyou@beursschouwburg.be before receiving a tip-off.
