Tarta Relena
Influenced by Mediterranean folk, Georgian laments, and the mystic works of 12th-century visionary Hildegard von Bingen, Tarta Relena crafts a vibrant sonic world where the past and future converge. Starting initially as an a capella project in 2016, vocalists Helena Ros and Marta Torella eventually added ambient-styled electronics to cushion their uncommonly matched voices. Always looking for complexity in simplicity and maximum expression with the minimum of elements, they do not fear to widen the limits of the sacred and the profane. Their second full album És pregunta came out on Latency in 2024. Performing it first at renowned showcase festival Unsound, exemplifies the duo’s vision on folk music: deeply rooted in the past, very much alive, always evolving.

MARICAS
Founded in 2018 by dj ISAbella, promotor Eloisa Blitzer and graphic designer Gina Guasch, the Barcelona-based party series MARICAS emerged as a playful and provocative platform for queer expression, aiming to disrupt a techno culture often dominated by men. The self-described "loving and pervy LGBTQIA+ techno collective" have carved out a unique and daring space for the FLINTA community in the global dance music scene, moreover with the inception of the MARICAS Records label in 2020.

Roza Terenzi
Since emerging from her birthplace in the Australian underground, Roza Terenzi became a manifestation of femmeforward rhythmic energy and irreverent sapphic mischief. Now based in Berlin and a MARICAS resident, her sets are beloved worldwide (from Dekmantel or Sonar festival to clubs like Panorama Bar or De School). Her productions demonstrate an effortlessly eclectic refusal for breakbeat, electronica, and trance to be confined to neither genre nor tempo, as you can hear on her first full length LP Modern Bliss released on Planet Euphorique, and on the much acclaimed Edge of Innocence LP with D. Tiffany on Delicate Records. Today Roza also runs her own "Step Ball Chain" imprint to unite likeminded chillers, ravers, and lovers everywhere.

Berenice
Vera Amores aka Berenice, is a DJ, producer and performer from Spain and currently based in Berlin. She is a MARICAS resident, a regular at Herrensauna/Tresor (Berlin) and one of the founders of the queer collective CULPA, organising trans and non-binary forward parties in Madrid. She may or may not play a house-centred set that spreads its tentacles to the many flipsides of the musical spectrum. Sorpresita for u !

Albal
Based between Madrid and Barcelona, rising DJ star Albal is already a force to be reckoned with. With her former collective CHICA and current crew at Girltoy, she is a major contributor to Spain’s femme forward and queer scenes, resulting in regular appearances at MARICAS nights, both in Spain and abroad. Mysterious yet mischievous, she makes her own rules in every set, playing with soft yet vigorous beats, from steamy progressive house to high intensity bass.

Marica is a Spanish word that followed the pipeline of its pure meaning "ladybug", to a slur comparable to "faggots", to Latin-American slang for "dude", to being reclaimed by the queer community worldwide. Maricas to the front <3

MARICAS also use MARICXS and (as their logo) MARICⱯS to avoid censorship by the algorithms of this world.
