Depuis trois ans, Bie Michels explore à Madagascar les liens entre terre et être humain, corps et objet, travail manuel et tradition, en collaboration avec des associations, artisans et artistes locaux. La publication "Bricks in Madagascar" parle de ce travail en cours et sera présentée parallèlement à la toute nouvelle performance, également en cours, de l'artiste Liantsoa Rakotonaivo.
Bie Michels (1960, Kimwenza, Congo) vit et travaille à Anvers. À travers son oeuvre, elle observe, décrit et questionne la représentation de l'Autre.
