Jennifer Izere — For My Daughter (5min) - ENG subs
Based on audio recordings of a phone conversation between grandmother, mother, and daughter, this work seeks to symbolize the evolving nature of relationships between generations, and explores the filmmaker's connection to her mother-language.

Mahlet Cuff — what if we kept it between us? (5min)
Using music from electronic duo Drexciya, and archival footage of ballroom, voguing, juke, footwerk, dancehall and dance practices across the African and Black Queer diaspora, what if we kept it between us? uses the concept of gatekeeping as a method for Black Queer music and dance preservation.

Stephanie Kayal & Abed Kobeissy — Galactic Crush 2: Into the Cold (excerpt, 5min) - ENG subs
Galactic Crush 2: Into the Cold is a dance performance by Stephanie Kayal and Abed Kobeissy, about two anti-heroes who decide to leave their homeland and flee in a DIY intergalactic spaceship in search of life in another galaxy. Casting a harsh gaze on their fictional characters, co-creators Kayal and Kobeissy confront the ethical implications of this act of escape amidst a genocidal present.
"Halfway through the creation process, the genocide in Gaza began, and we witnessed its live stream. We asked ourselves: how could we continue working on a piece that celebrates two protagonists abandoning their homeland while our people in Gaza and Southern Lebanon are being massacred for choosing to stay?"

Juliette Le Monnyer — Ramallah, Palestine, décembre 2018 (10min)
Ten minutes of real time under occupation. Amid the buildings and streets of Ramallah, men take up positions. In a continuous, unedited shot, the camera witnesses a confrontation between Palestinians and Israeli soldiers illegally stationed in the city. With a single gesture, the viewer experiences the occupation of Palestinian territory in real time.

Victoire Karera Kampire — Untitled (Work in Progress)
This experiment to explore the capacity of the camera — her camera — to restore to her people, to the lifeless Tutsi bodies, victims of genocide and broadcast live on all television channels in 1994, the soul of which the image had deprived them, is conceived as a curatorial note for the programme When Facing Erasure... It offers an immersion into the inner debate of a filmmaker haunted by the notion of erasure, where grand and personal histories intersect and where historical archives, audio and film clips, Instagram reels, mobile videos, texts and more intermingle without hierarchy. Borrowing its title from D’Angelo’s iconic track “Untitled (How Does It Feel)”, the film draws on the epistemology of Black music to shed light on the mechanics of the Western schism between body and soul and to sketch possible ways out.
