Work Hard/ Play Hard est un programme dans lequel les artistes offrent une réponse ludique ou pensent les conditions de travail actuelles avec un twist poétique. Bienvenue!
En octobre et novembre 2013 Beursschouwburg se concentre à nouveau sur un focus spécifique: Work Hard/ Play Hard. Pendant deux mois nous allons à la recherche de l’absurdité et du contenu des situations de travail quotidiennes. Attendez-vous à un programme de film développé, des artistes performeurs (inter)nationaux, musique, une exposition solo de Céline Berger et un impressionnant parcours d’installations de nos artistes associés de l’Amicale de Production, pour tous les âges !
Nous plongeons dans le monde des affaires et y percevons les estéthiques de bureaux qui incitent au travail, des méthodes de gestion efficaces ainsi que son jargon et nous bouleversons des normes et conventions professionnelles (le travail de bureau a quelque chose d’un jeu de monopoly!). Nous allons à la recherche de poésie dans des salles de réunion et “cabines”. Finalement, nous jetons un coup d’œil dans les coulisses du système capitaliste et nous imaginons un successeur: le postcapitalisme.
Lors de la saison 2012 - 2013 nous avons pour la première fois lancé le principe de focus; càd un programme cohérent, s’étalant sur une période de 2 à 3 mois, où un thème spécifique, oeuvre, artiste, mouvement ou style est étudié et décortiqué jusqu’à la moelle.
