The Ghosts of Syb’L Vane, Hayat Hyatt (US), 2010, 10'

A ghost relives memories from his past, and his lover's lovers. Inspired by Oscar Wilde's 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' this short combines fiction and documentary - exploring the mythologies of beauty, blackness, and masculinity.

Hayat Hyatt is a video artist, filmmaker and writer, interested in New York City, camp, memoir and documentary. 

Casa Forte, Rodrigo Almeida (BR), 2014, 11'

A neighborhood inhabited by ghosts of a relationship and a tradition.

Rodrigo Almeida is currently a doctoral student of communication at the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (Brasil), curator and technical supervisor of Janela Internacional de Cinema do Recife and director of short film 'Casa Forte'. He is member of the collective Surto & Deslumbramento, author of the e-book 'Cinephile consumption and pleasure of rarity' and organizer of the collection of articles 'Cinema and Memory'.
