Cosmetics (CA) is Aja Emma & Nic M.
Using analog synthesizers, simple rhythm and voice they write and record songs at their Oui! home studio in Vancouver, BC Canada.
They describe their own music as Late Night Bubblegum. Basically, it is pop music.
Over the last few years they have released a few singles and an ep on Captured Tracks. Those releases were collected in 2013 as the Olympia ... Plus cassette, a vinyl lp version was released in spring 2014.
They have played with such bands: Glass Candy, Chromatics, Zola Jesus, Soft Moon, Automelodi, and have toured with Blank Dogs, Soft Metals and Mode Moderne.
The band's long awaited debut album was recently completed and will be released in 2015.
Cosmetics are ... recording / mixing / practicing / designing / drawing / painting / scanning / sewing / printing / binding / cutting / pasting / dubbing / manufacturing / filming / covering / booking. 1001 things on the way.
