Bebe Magazine Issue II Launch
The "dis-" issue, created by Bebe Books.
Join us in celebrating the launch of the second issue of Bebe Magazine! This edition gathers queer perspectives beyond fixed identities around the open-ended prefix "dis-": as in not, opposite, apart. Through negation, refusal and undoing, 23 creatives from across Europe and its margins explore what it means to disagree, disappear, disconnect, disorient, displace and dis-identify. It's a theme with built-in friction: "dis-" can negate or simply separate, and the contributions pull in many directions, from essays and poetry to photography, comics, visual art and more.
Bebe Magazine is created by Bebe Books. Issue II was shaped through an open call and brought together by Ruud Van Moorleghem and Mert Şen of Bebe Books, with guest curators Shia Rówan Conlon and Iona Roisin of Trans Library Helsinki and Almanac Press, and with Beata Pellanda. The contributions were edited by Sofie Avery, and the magazine was designed by Sophia Krayc and Alexandra Möllner.
