Car Free Sunday 2016
A day where everything revolves around the bike! After an early-morning aerobic session and a hearty breakfast, anyone can take part in the bike ride organised by the Brussels youngster of youth house Chicago: D’Broej On Tour. In an environmentally responsible way, they try to show a different and more positive take on Brussels. Besides the sporting component, there is also room for creativity on the Car-free Sunday. Why not take part in the workshop organised by Vélo M² and design your own fluorescent bicycle accessory using 3D-printing? The little ones are obviously not forgotten and can enjoy the vast range of lively children’s entertainment that is laid on especially for them. The day concludes with a live concert by Fleddy Melculy (BE), or the illegitimate metalcore scum of Lars Ulrich and Lita Ford. This metal and hardcore band only want one thing: world domination. A bit ambitious do you say? You may have a point. But success is up for grabs, thanks to a handful of riffs which you would sooner associate with a drive for expansion which would leave some religious fanatics green with envy. Soon they will probably be too busy conquering other continents, so you might as well enjoy them while you can. You may want to leave your Metallica T-shirt at home, though. Car-free Sunday a boring affair? Not at all when you stick with us!
