Today we would like to call No Age the uncrowned kings of the new batch of punks but we wouldn’t be doing them any favours. Real punks don’t want to be king. They want to blow up the palace. Humo
Niet onbelangrijk: als je bij ons bloed komt geven tijdens Bloed Serieus kan je die avond GRATIS naar het concert (zolang het niet uitverkocht is).
Eerst bloeden en dan cadeau’s!
The literal translation of Beach reads: Punk pop straight from Sint-Anneke! On the advice of No Age this Antwerp trio is billed as support on the poster. And this is completely justified since Beach fits seamlessly with No Age (even though a tour with Hüsker Dü is said to have been one of the possibilities). Voilà, now you know where to look: discover Beach without sun cream.
No Age transports us in a cabrio along the beaches, palm trees and boulevards of Los Angeles … Even though their touring calendar suggests they would rather be travelling the world than staying in Los Angeles (No Age a.k.a. the world’s longest and widest touring band in the world).
The Californian duo comes to present An Object, their new release which is appearing on the legendary Sub Pop label. The grain of their sandpaper punk is a tad less coarse on the new scion and that is clearly a correct choice. It’s become a refreshing and brilliant complement to their earlier releases.
No Age produces a sound that makes you wonder where on earth they’ve hidden the other musicians.
