Inside the Magic Cave - short documentary Sketches/Notebook

Sketches/Notebook undoubtedly occupies a special place in the oeuvre of Meg Stuart/Damaged Goods. In order to capture the ‘momentum’ of the work, Damaged Goods has made a short documentary entitled Inside the Magic Cave.

documentary
SA 23.04.2016 17:00 - 22:00

Using a compelling mixture of interviews (Hans-Maarten Post) and images (Stephane Leonard), the film explores the creative process, the borderless and open nature of dance and performance, and the way in which the audience experiences this. Each of the artists – performers, visual artists and musician – discusses his or her view on this ‘magic cave’; a sacred ritual, a playground, a sea of light, but above all: a personal perspective on the concepts of collectivity, creation and presentation.
