Dawuna
The moniker and middle name of Ugandan-American multi-disciplinary artist Ian Mugerwa, Dawuna appeared virtually out of nowhere with a fully formed vision on his debut album, 'Glass Lit Dreams'. Narcotic and haunted R&B, reminiscent of D’angelo’s “Voodoo”, ethereal Prince ballads, or Tricky’s and Dean Blunt’s hazy paranoia, the critically acclaimed album reveals a gifted songwriter with an acute attention to detail and sound itself, intriguing and vaporous. After being self-released digitally in the middle of the pandemic, it was later reissued on vinyl through O__o? Records. In 2024 Dawuna released his second full album, Naya, a bare bones but fully formed concept album about black liberation that draws on a lo-fi but enveloping approach to Funk, Soul, R&B and Hip-Hop. Further cementing his place among today's visionaries, such as Tirzah, Klein or Moor Mother, it serves first and foremost as a calling card to the live explorations of (listening to) intentional sound.

Dushime
Andie Dushime is a multidisciplinary Belgian-Rwandan artist, storyteller and performer. Since her debut as an actress in the NTGent production ‘Lam Gods’ by Milo Rau, she has been blowing through the Belgian arts landscape like a breath of fresh air, including with her own productions for Decoratelier and KVS, among others. In 2021, she launched her solo music project Dushime with the single Common Point, which she co-produced with Pippin of experimental music collective Noannaos. Several years and an impressive series of showcases later (Botanique, Pukkelpop, Couleur Café, AB, ...), Dushime's music and live performances feel like a collective healing process, using her voice as a versatile instrument to saturate the space with different stories, sounds and textures. In the process, strength and vulnerability always go hand in hand to the sounds of avant-garde trip-hop and neo-soul. So let’s immerse ourselves (again) in the emotional authenticity of this rising star.
