Editors often express their concern about the skills of their freshly graduated colleagues. Are the courses they attend still relevant and of sufficient quality? How deep is the gap between school leavers and experienced journalists? Do beginners get the proper guidance in the editorial office? What role should courses in journalism play in the future?
Iris Musschoot (Campus De persgroep), Patrick Pelgrims (Erasmus High school), Ann-Sofie Dekeyser (De Standaard) and Jo Bardoel (Radboud University Nijmegen) discuss this with Koen Wauters (VRT) in the chair.
