Machines and technology are impossible to do away with these days, which is why ECHT! has been putting the warm, sweaty, human aspect back in music by delivering a kind of "analog DJ set" since 2017. Tracks, rhythms and styles ceaselessly flow into each other, building up to a hot climax. Many collaborations ensued - aka bringing your friends together on stage - like with Commander Spoon from the Niveau4XXL crew at Couleur Café in 2019. After uploading his beats on Soundcloud under his alter ego LTGL, everything just took off by itself, quicker than he or anyone anticipated. Ashley began playing shows all over Europe in no time; He opened up for the likes of Gaslamp Killer, Ras G, Freetherobots, made remixes for Ashnikko, Abraham Blue & he could count Giles Peterson (BBC1), Lefto, Gaslamp Killer, Joe Kay, Daedalus and many more as his supporters. This all lead to a pinnacle moment - an offer from his dream label, a new international booking agency, an offer for a show in South Africa. However he wasn’t satisfied with his work so he dropped everything to focus on his creative development. After studying jazz for a year, and getting into a conservatory didn’t work out, he decided to just focus on his own music and on developing his voice. Two years later he feels ready to share his journey with the world. Releasing brand new authentic music as no alter ego, but Ashley Morgan.
