Chapter 1: The Porn Fairy - in the Golden Space
The Porn Fairy creates a space where the intimate power of folk music merges with the visceral immediacy of live porn. With bass guitar and vocals (for fans of Orville Peck!), Hot Bodies performs semi-acoustic songs from their upcoming album Digital Fairy / Folk Songs, set to release in May. Folk music, often associated with tales of love and the wanderings of the human condition, here becomes the unexpected soundtrack to an erotic performance by Clap! Collectif. Their post-porn performance, moving beyond the stereotypical power dynamics of traditional porn, is filmed live as an alternative music video, offering fresh perspectives on intimacy, vulnerability, and energy.
Chapter 2: All Bodies Are Hot Bodies - on the rooftop
Super queer and super sex-positive synthetic folk singer Hot Bodiesalso performs a solo live concert, this time with bass guitar, vocals, and electronics in a whirlwind of emotions. The stripped-down yet generous songs hover somewhere between pop and cold wave. Still, the flame of the folk protest song burns brightly through the intimate and activist poetry of the lyrics, sketching a sensual manifesto for love and emancipation. The most beautiful revolutions begin in the heart, surrounded by bodies and memories.
Afterwards dj BEA is here for you with an eclectic Brussels-Caribbean dj set to live laugh love listen cry dance dream away to.
About
Hot Bodies is the stage name of French-American musician and performer Gérald Kurdian. Using the directness of folk music as their primary tool, they have been building a hybrid twilight zone between pop concert and experimental theater for over a decade, exploring questions of community, embodiment, and queerness. From French art schools, through the Parisian and Brussels underground, to the more experimental stages and clubs of Montreal and Berlin, wherever Gérald goes, they create artistic connections between media, spaces, and people. This has happened under names like This Is The Hello Monster!, GÆRALD, and as the MC (Mother of Ceremony) of the Hot Bodies Club and the queer protest choir Hot Bodies Choir. Gérald’s vision and body of work earned them the Prix Paris Jeunes Talents in 2011, and today brings them the collaboration of artists like Chapelier Fou, Laura Cahen, and producer Don Turi on their upcoming album Digital Fairy / Folk Songs, set for release in May 2025.
In 2023, Gérald presented the fantasy opera 13 Songs for the Unspeakable under their own name at Beursschouwburg. In 2024, they will premiere THE PORN FAIRY in collaboration with CLAP! collective at the SNAP! Festival in Les Halles de Schaerbeek. Welcome back <3
