With this trio, saxophonist Toine Thys (the brother of bass player Nicolas Thys) treats us to an energetic and intense JazzLab concert. Sounding like a wonderfully old-fashioned Hammond B3 organ trio, Thys plays with organist Arno Krijger and drummer Joost van Schaik groundbreaking versions of a number of popular standards, complemented by some of Toine’s own compositions.
