In Helvet Underground an old-fashioned clock in ‘Black Forest’ style is the centre-piece. Occasionally two traditional folklore figures appear out of the monumental clock. In a costume made of tulle they perform in silence rigid dance steps as puppets. The work of the French duo Clédat and Petitpierre is situated between live performance and visual art. Their installations are recognized as both strange and humorous and appeal to a wide audience.
