What happens when two strangers come close to each other in public? What does your city look like from someone else's perspective? And how does it feel to hold hands in public with people of different genders, ages, races or bodies?

Walking:Holding was first created in Glasgow in 2011 and has since toured the world working with local participant performers in each location. You can now experience this moving work for the first time in Brussels.

BIO

Rosana Cade (they/them/their) is a Glasgow-based artist and queer activist who works predominantly with collaborative live performance in different contexts, such as theatres, galleries, urban public spaces, night clubs and cabarets. Cade uses liveness as a tool for the transgression of oppressive social boundaries and rules, connecting performers and participants and creating experiences that allow us to transcend the boundaries of our everyday frames of reference. Whether it’s in holding the hand of a stranger or receiving a lap dance, Rosana investigates the joy and difficulty of creating meaningful or intimate connections.
