schntzl

Maximalist synths, heart-stopping ambient and childlike, disoriented grooves for in the elevator to space, the stars and beyond.

Sentimental yet brutal, provocative yet kind, Belgian duo schntzl play live electronic music that makes you reevaluate sound itself. Hendrik Lasure (piano, electronica) and Casper Van De Velde (drums, electronica) merge acoustic and digital sounds into a retro-futuristic world, blending exploratory jazz, restless electronics and euphoric trance.

On stage, they perform as a fail-safe orchestra of two, orbiting each other in a constant game of balance and sharp contrasts, reshaping ideas in real time. The result is music that feels like a mirage: playful yet volatile, intimate yet overwhelming.

After numerous releases on W.E.R.F Records and the Holiday LP (2023, Cortizona), they are steadily building an international reputation with gigs at Eurosonic Noorderslag, across Europe, and a tour in Japan. And it just so happens that their brand new album Fata Morgana (2026, VIERNULVIER records) is ready to further blur the lines between illusion and reality.
