Linett Kamala
Linett Kamala is a London-based Jamaican and English interdisciplinary artist, educator and carnivalist known as the "Sound System Queen." She has been a pioneering figure in British sound system culture for over 40 years. She is one of the first female DJs to perform on a sound system in the mid 1980s at the iconic Notting Hill Carnival aged 15 and is now one of the organisers. She gained widespread recognition for her grassroots efforts, highlighting the importance of community empowerment and inclusivity within the music scene through her work with Notting Hill Carnival, her custom hand-built sound system LIN KAM ART, and various mentorship programmes for women such as the Original Sounds Collective and LGBTQIA+ individuals in sound system culture. She has also played a significant role in the U.K. education sector as an influential school leader, teaching event management and performance, and as the President of the University of the Arts London Alumni of Colour Association.

Rrita Jashari
Honorary beursschouwburger Rrita Jashari is a maker and shaker shaping the Brussels scene. Co-running 54KOLAKTIV and 54 Sound, the eclectic collective which brought soundsystem culture to the Belgian capital, this Belgo-Albanian is a lover of dutty basslines and unexpected beats, effortlessly blending rap, global rhythms, UK dubstep and West Indian bass to make rough-and-tumble mixes. A champion of feminine energy with an ear for the queens of dancehall, femcees and R&B vixens, Rrita's selection is a celebration of movement and pleasure. (And we’ll be hearing again from Rrita very very soon..!)

Très beau paradis fiscal
It’s with a profound affinity for tax systems that this member of the Waffles Kru uses electronic music as money to reveal her hidden capital. Influenced by all kinds of UK electronic genres, Très beau paradis fiscal cares about her selection as if it was wads of money. She will bring you to islands where your own richness expands. However, the path to get there might be more obscure… Don't wait any longer, get into fiscal evasion and surrender to a highly illegal status with Très beau paradis fiscal !

Selmz
Selmz is navigating at her own pace between several sounds, as long as they contain the intensity she's incarnating. From Dubstep to Club, Grime to Footwork, Jungle to Trap, her passion (aka hyperfixation!) and curiosity have resulted in various works that she presented in several radio appearances with the label Eclipse Tribez or in solo across Europe.

ojoo
ojoo is a Brussels-based, Moroccan-born musician, selector and organiser whose work hits where sound, politics and community collide, all shaped by mighty physical bass weight. They’re part of Psst Mlle, an intersectional feminist collective, and co-builder of the Pssound System, a fully DIY rig built from the ground up by and for marginalised genders. Not a flex, but an act of resistance. Plywood, wires, community. Raised on bootleg CD culture and shaped by constraint, ojoo found their voice in the pressure zones between dubplate and distortion. No clean lines, no polite transitions. Just raw blends, concrete rhythms, sirens, and silence.

Erykah
Hailing from Ghent, Erykah aims to build safer cultural spaces both as a DJ and as a member of Leda collective. Her surprising and irresistibly percussion-heavy mixes at ABRUPT and Horst festival confirmed her as an unapologetically powerful local hero and rising star who knows how to set the dancefloor ablaze up until the very last afterparty closing track. Ready for a deep journey into bass-influenced highs and rhythmic breaks?

Conscious Be
Imbued with a strong taste for ska, rocksteady and roots reggae music, Conscious Be is a selecta out of south London. As a native Belgian growing up in the UK till her late twenties, she was lucky to be nurtured by an authentic British Jamaican musical culture, which massively enriched her young love for this music she was drawn to. As well as working for various record labels and shops, Conscious Be teamed up with her mentor Roy Jamah and with pillar of the London Jamaican music scene and industry, Daddy Vego, to run nights in North London. This meant connecting with renowned local Jamaican selectas of the 60s 70s scene, as well as youths invested in the music. Since settling in Brussels in 2011, she has tirelessly sought to share these potent energies over here!

Psst Mlle
Psst Mlle is an intersectional feminist platform standing for more inclusion and representation in nightlife and music. They aim to create tools to support MaGe* artists and cultural workers, while paying great attention to racial and economical discriminations. Their events question the codes of nightlife and deconstruct the dance floor. Besides, they try to tackle discrimination at its roots through workshops, conversations and more. Beursschouwburg is very happy and proud that Psst Mlle is one of its associated artists for 2024-2026.
