Samowar est le projet électronique en solo de Leen Diependaele. Avec seulement sa voix et des beats subtils ses chansons s’échafaudent couche par couche via une loopstation. Le résultat est pour le moins un son authentique, tantôt fragile, tantôt un brin expérimental.
La chose n’est pas demeurée inaperçue : Samowar a su atteindre la finale de Humo’s Rock Rally 2014, a été lauréate à Theater Aan Zee 2013, deuxième à FrappantPop 2011,... Et à présent elle peut ajouter à son palmarès la terrasse sur le toit de Beursschouwburg !
