Bouquet Revue

Since 2018, Mothers & Daughters displayed flowers in the many locations we occupied. These flowers were based on scenes from trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming and/or lesbian films. We would watch as many films as we could, searching for flowers, patterns, colours and textures, and ask a florist to interpret a film still into a bouquet of flowers (a special mention to the creativity and generosity of the now-closed Fleurs / Bloemen Jettie!).

Partly an excuse to watch trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming and lesbian films, but mostly a way to share these films with you, we have selected four films from our flower series to screen during the Last Call / Dernier Verre / Laaste Ronde festival. There will also be new bouquets on display at Beursschouwburg for the exhibition opening and the festival weekend!
