Sara Manente & Christophe Albertijn Spectacle #4 + aftertalk
Een film over de relatie tussen dans en woorden, een fictiefilm in vier hoofdstukken.
Dans is soms moeilijk in woorden te vatten. Van zodra we tekst gebruiken om onze ervaring te beschrijven, wordt de betekenis ervan verengd. Gebruikmakend van EKPHRASIS, de beschrijving van een ingebeeld of echt bestaand, maar niet fysiek aanwezig kunstwerk, begon de film bij een reeks interviews die laten zien hoe we al dan niet praten, begrijpen en ons een performance herinneren. Sara Manente en Christophe Albertijn zetten, zelfs letterlijk, woorden in dans om en omgekeerd.
Dankzij de zelfgemaakte 3D-technologie verdubbelen Manente en Albertijn de beelden, op die manier wordt de gelaagdheid van dans letterlijk weergegeven. Film, woorden, dans en dit alles in 3D om de complexiteit aan te tonen van het vertalen van één medium naar een ander.

After the performance we'll invite you to a conversation with Sara Manente & Christophe Albertijn and Caroline Godard. Caroline Godart (PhD in Comparative Literature, Rutgers University, USA) is a philosopher and a dramaturge, and the author of the book The Dimensions of Difference: Space, Time, and Bodies in Women's Cinema and Continental Philosophy (2016).
