What better way than to come together, read excerpts of books by talented Black authors, writers, novelists and researchers, and then share our thoughts about them, in a safer space? by BLACK HISTORY MONTH

This past March, due to the pandemic, we sadly had to cancel a lot of events of our Black History Month Belgium 2020 - The Roots of our Health. But now that we can create safe measures to gather again, we wanted to create a series of events to make up for the lost time and to lead us to Black History Month Belgium 2021.

Throughout this fall, we will be having reading and sharing groups every month. Each group will welcome 20 participants, will be run by a guest facilitator and will be in the language of the chosen book.

This space will be exclusively for members of Black African and Diasporic communities, as we want to create a safer space for people who face social and systemic anti-Blackness on a daily basis.

To support a local Black owned and operated business, we will invite the participants and whoever else wants the book to join a collective order of the book through Pépite Blues.

PROGRAMME

Saturday September 26th (14:30 - 17:30)
Language: FR
Leader/Facilitator: Eric Cyuzuzo
