The art and culture sector finds itself in a major crisis. While traditional funding is drying up at an increasing tempo, alternative funding models are being diligently sought out. Crowd funding, where the realizaton of a project depends on generous donations from like-minded patrons, is seen as being the solution. In collaboration with the website voordekunst.nl we are following a number of institutions who are striving with all their vigour to gather the funding needed for their dream project. What can we learn from their experience?
