Andy Warhol took failure very seriously. Most of his films consisted of observations of people in their fallibility showed a startling vulnerability.
In Warhol's portrait of Paul Swan it is no different: this once famous dancer and actor seems to become increasingly uncertain and camera shy in Warhol's merciless, but somewhat loving realization.
