“At the first plan, the host is sitting facing the audience and presents today’s guest enumerating her merits. During the enumeration the host is hidden by the profile of today’s guest for some seconds. The host ends the presentation and the guest thanks him and begins to talk about the title of the show that she does not like. From now on, close ups of the host and of the guest succeed each other for an hour and a half only to be alternated by an extreme close up of the guest’s hands and by three long shots of two whole bodies.”

The Present is a project of investigation, production and debate started in 2010 by Arantxa Martínez and Lola Rubio and centred in the notions of image and visibility. It is a long duration project that actualizes itself with each of its aspects and through their exchange.
