Who doesn’t know Ozzy Osbourne? The lead singer of Black Sabbath, one of the founders of heavy metal, the clown ‘Prince of Darkness’, the reality TV phenomenon … Bursting with irony and appropriately bombastic, the documentary produced by his youngest son takes us inside the life of a rock cliché incarnate: a man who almost brought about his own destruction in a bacchanal lasting forty years.
On the surface this appears to be a jubilant odyssey of a pop-culture personality but, surprisingly enough, there lurks a sobering portrait of a rehabilitated addict who comes to terms with the consequences of his destructive behaviour on his family.
