The year 2000. Grandma Lo-fi starts recording her own music on a cassette recorder which she was given for her 70th birthday. Seven years later she has 59 albums to her credit with more than 600 songs and she has become a cult figure on the Icelandic music scene worshipped by Björk, Sigur Rόs and múm.
In her catchy but eccentric compositions she mixes the sound of her Casio keyboard with recorded sound effects originating from all kinds of home, garden and kitchen equipment. Filmed on vintage Super 8 the result is an emotionally-charged film and an ode to boundless creativity.
