Berlin (still) is the epicentre of adventurous electronics. New artists keep flooding in and as the genres diversify, the scene continues to reinvent itself. Berlin Current, a project of Club Transmediale and Musicboard Berlin (CTM), ensures that the outside world can get to know ‘What’s hot in Berlin’ and new artists in adventurous electronics. 

The Leuven Numen brings live electronics with Oriental influences.

As resident DJ of the Janus-parties, J’Kerian Morgan, a.k.a. Lotic, became one of the most original characters of the Berlin club scene. His EP Heterocetera (Tri Angle) has not escaped the hype machine and is full of exciting apocalyptic electronics. Amnesia Scanner is still unknown, but his hyper-realistic drum&bass sounds like the sound of tomorrow. Producer Soda Plains spent a long time in the US, Berlin and Hong Kong, and you can tell from his ultra-eclectic style.
