Incubate Festival in Tilburg is the annual highlight for cutting-edge indie cultuur: music, visual arts, film, contemporary dance or reflection – you’ll find it all there. On our roof terrace, we have programmed the somewhat louder Belgian and Dutch genres. Hypnotic doom and noisy punk are the by-words that should lure you in your droves.
Daggers
Ggu:ll (hypnotic drooning Doom) bring heavy, lingering doom with Schwarzmetall influences, much like sledgehammers, sending the public spinning on their legs, only to give them another thump later on.
Cocaine Piss (punk curst de La Meuse) come with their Don't give a fuck punk from don't give a fuck Liège. Groovy and crusty hardcore.
Galg (doom noise) is what happens when happy individuals are dished depressing stuff and start making metal/noise/black metal/drone.
Mind Rays (psych primitive punk) play no-nonsense garage punk that crosses the line with primitive punk, garage and psych.
Sex Drive (hardcore punk) bring hardcore as it should be done. Seven shades of angry, livid and pissed off. A successful mix of Black Flag, Die Kreuzen and Void.
Nervous Mothers (powerviolence) play punk, grindcore, hardcore and power violence from Antwerp, with members from Vuur and Millions of Them.
Angstgegner (the word) is defined as an extremely feared opponent. Angstgegner (the band) certainly instil fear with ruthless hardcore straight from the soul.
