The speakers will highlight how these testimonies can influence climate justice policies and the importance of incorporating these lived experiences to advocate for more inclusive and equitable solutions to environmental crises.

Sarah Risheq is an Amman-based writer, editor, and storyteller/gatherer. Currently, Risheq is interested in the intersections and interconnectedness between body, memory, forgetfulness, liberation, fugitivity, land, the archive, and futurisms. Risheq enjoys formulating questions that allow them to build worlds and burn others. especially questions that allow them to widen their sensibilities and expand their imagination. Risheq has published a short story, ‘Rise,' and conducted in-depth research about Palestinian Ancestral Healing Practices as a Politics of Return. As well as an audio-visual installation and poetry performances.
Shanthuru is a non-binary Black (noun) Tamil Indigenous refugee originating from Tamileelam after having survived a Genocide. They have been vocal against all forms of oppression. Shanthuru works as the Justice Equity Diversity Inclusion and Safety Officer (JEDIS Officer) for Greenpeace Belgium. They are a founding member of Workers4Palestine.be and is currently working on a startup called Co:le CoCo that is a queer migrant creative agency helping Queer non-europeans in the creative sector to have easier access to the European Job market along with Sam/Sara Hamedi. Shanthuru is an organiser and is one of the co-founders of Extinction Rebellion Belgium and is a Non Violent Direct Action trainer for CodeRood/Rouge. They are also an active member of HoTM and worked on the Inmyname campaign.
