THE PROGRAM

19.30 - 20.30: Tina, Arne, Ignace and Suzan share their FUCKUP STORIES:

• Tina Fabry, owner at Proud Mary. Tina had a relationship with her boss, which led to her being fired and getting a divorce. She will share with us what happened, how the experience both impacted her professional and personal life and what she learned from having to re-start her life from scratch.

• Ignace Wils, sustainable entrepreneurship consultant and former owner of 'The Sustainable Printer'. Ignace will tell the story of turning his four generations old family business into a 100% sustainable printing company with a socially inclusive employee policy. A struggle with the economical crisis and badly timed investments led to the company's bankruptcy, but thought Ignace to never stop working for the importane of socio-ecological improvement.

• Arne Defauw, credit risk manager at KBC. When he was 20, Arne was training to be a professional cyclist. He found out he had a bit of talent and was convinced he would win a mountain stage in the Tour de France at some point. It had to be. Then, while riding his bike on a beautiful morning in September, a dog jumped on him, and Arne injured his knee. Cycling career was over.

• Suzan Waelput, second time student of bio-science engineering at Ghent Univeristy. Suzan wil talk about what went wrong the first time she tried studying this course, how this triggered her hospitalization in the psychiatric ward of UZ Gent and how she learned to gain control of her own mental health.
