Luz

Belgian born & Berlin-based DJ, Luz is a resident, co-founder and curator of Room 4 Resistance: a queer femme / non-binary forward collective focused on community-building & creating safer space & visibility for underrepresented artists in dance music. Since 2014, R4R runs intersectional & body/sex positive queer raves, hosts radio shows, & curates panels and workshops to promote women, gender queers, non-binary, trans, inter, black and POC artists, to explore the political dimensions of the dance floor & to create bridges between different communities.

Luz has been involved in the electronic music scene for over a decade, first as a promoter in Brussels & later working for music labels & booking agencies in Berlin. They have collected records since early childhood & started Dj-ing in 2012 with a focus on building narratives through music across genres & eras: Techno, deep techno, UK, bass, breaks, experimental, left-field, IDM, D’n’B, & more in between.

Nkisi
Nkisi is the pseudonym of Melika Ngombe Kolongo, whose activities as a producer, live musician, DJ and curator are channels for an ongoing inquiry into sound as a tool of communication beyond the purely lingual. Meshing hard techno and gabber beats with pan-African drum rhythms and pairing IDM electronics with juke house, Nkisi is a truly unique talent defying genre classification. djmag.comSoundcloud

marum
Risen to prominence from Lisbon's underground scene as a resident of mina's infamous raves, marum has crafted a unique and hybrid artistic practice: relentless rave DJ and community utopian-researcher. Their sets are unashamed worship sessions of hypnotic, acidic techno, cavernous industrial beats with elements of EBM, trance and aerial drones, taking influence from film scores, minimalist composers and musique concrète. Parallel to DJing, marum is also a visual and performance artist, curator, and writer, working with the experimental platform XenoEntities Network and Rabbit Hole, focusing on gender, queer and feminist theory, technology and digital culture, electronic music and club politics.

Lou Drago
Perpetually obsessed with proving the futility of binaries, Lou Drago is drawn to the spaces between analogue and synthesised sounds. In their sets Lou Drago aims to provide a space for contemplation and introspection, offering a pause from the anxiety of neoliberalism through ambient, strange and relaxing sounds. They aim to summon imagery of speculative queer and postgendered futurities through evoking sci-fi, space, drone and other ambiences. Drago hosts a monthly show on Cashmere Radio based in Berlin called Transience, each time inviting a different artist to respond to their concept to create an hour of anxiety relief from hetero-patriarchial systems of oppression.
