Time Is On My Side

The Rolling Stones Charlie is my Darling – Ireland 1965 was filmed just a few weeks after the Stones climbed the charts to number one with (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction. The film captures the band at the moment of their transformation from a popular rhythm & blues cover band into a world-famous rock group. We follow the fledgling quintet (Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman and the late Brian Jones) as they traverse the Irish countryside by train, from one performance in front of hordes of screaming fans to the next. For a long time, Charlie is My Darling was a holy grail for Stones aficionados; almost fifty years later, the film has at last been carefully restored and supplemented with unique images that have never been shown before, offering an intimate look behind the curtain.
