Sketchnote Workshop: See what I mean?

Sketchnote Workshop: See what I mean?

workshop
TH 28.04.2016 18:00 - 19:30

How do you make a sketchnote of a speech? Simple drawings are able to show exactly what we want. But can simple drawings help tell a story? Keeping it simple allows for ideas to enter into our audiences mind as quick and clear as possible to help them ´see what we mean´.

Visual practitioner Christopher Malapitan invites us to grab a piece of paper and a pen and through a series of activities he will help us create drawings which we can use to plan or support our next speech. Get ready to draw during this fun workshop where you'll be introduced to the power of visual thinking.

This workshop is in collaboration with Beursschouwburg and deBuren in the framework of the Speech Battle that will begin immediately after the workshop.

Christopher Malapitan is a passionate sketchnoter, visual thinker and loves storytelling. Through visual mapping techniques, Christopher helps storytellers, NGOs, creative curators, and various professionals to "see what they mean".

Sketchnote competition

After the workshop you can participate in a sketchnote competition during the Speech Battle (19:30 > 21:00). The person whom makes the best sketchnote of one of the three speeches, wins an art journal kit provided by deBuren. Christopher Malapitan along with deBuren will judge the competiton.
