Vincent Riebeek & Florentina Holzinger /CAMPO Schönheitsabend

Holzinger and Riebeek have made the Orientalism of the early 20th century their own. As was true a century ago, their own dance is permeated with madness, ecstasy and explicit eroticism.

The world's toughest and most muscular duo, Florentina Holzinger & Vincent Riebeek, have been our guests before.
For their newest performance, Schönheitsabend, they used the famous 1910 ballet, Sheherazade, and the desires of dancing couples from that time as a starting point, using exotic fiction in order to reinvent dance (and themselves). Power relationships, gender roles, violence or sex: no taboo was left untouched.

Bio
In the last few years, Florentina Holzinger and Vincent Riebeek created a poignant trilogy, including Kein Applaus für Scheisse (2010), Spirit (2012), and the group performance Wellness (2013). Following respective detours, including individual performances by each of them, they have again joined forces in their new duet: Schönheitsabend.
