Imaginary Family est l’alter ego musical de Joanna Isselé. Née dans les Alpes françaises, Joanna a grandi en Belgique et à ses 15 ans elle a atterri à Gand. Il y a quelques années, elle a reçu en cadeau une guitare acoustique et a commencé à composer des chansons. À propos de cowboys délinquants, de pingouins et d’un voisin solitaire. Son style de jouer est inhabituel - elle est gauchère, mais joue sur une guitare pour droitier - et définit également sa sonorité particulière: fragile, minimaliste et prenante. Bert Dockx de Flying Horseman enchante l'auditeur de sa voix envoûtante et par son jeu de guitare répétitif voire même menaçant.
