Une périphérie urbaine hivernale. Une jeune femme, à un tournant de sa vie, évolue dans un environnement aseptisé. Il est question de procédures : sanitaires, funéraires, aussi. Elle semble parée pour une lutte secrète, telle un samouraï des temps présents. Mais son combat, intérieur, consiste à laisser affleurer les sentiments, à convoquer les émotions véritables dans un cadre protocolaire exsangue. Alors, comme autant de talismans, elle convoque les figures d’êtres chers, cristallisant des instants de tendresse ou de cruautés quotidiennes.

Née en 1990, Camile Degeye est diplômée en réalisation à l’Université Paris 8. Elle intègre le laboratoire indépendant L’Abominable où elle se forme en autodidacte au travail du cinéma argentique. Ses trois premiers films ont été montrés dans des festivals internationaux tels que le BISFF Busan, l’EIFF Edinburgh et primés en France et à l’international. En 2019, elle réalise son quatrième court métrage Journey through a body sélectionné à la 58e Semaine de la Critique et premier volet d’un diptyque complété avec Almost a kiss qu’elle réalise en 2022. Elle prépare actuellement son premier long-métrage, Sphinx, prix Next Step 2020 décerné par la Semaine de la Critique.
