“All anyone can do is show up… and refuse to go away.”
Wildness est un portrait de "The Silver Platter", un bar légendaire situé à l'Est de Los Angeles où la communauté locale latin/LGBT (Lesbienne, Gay, Bisexuelle et Transgenre) est la bienvenue déjà depuis 1963. Sous l'œil vigilant du propriétaire M. Ramirez, le bar sert de refuge pour les transgenres mexicains généralement illégaux. Le film est aussi le conte de la créativité et le conflit qui surgit quand un certain nombre de jeunes artistes ‘queer’ organisent des fêtes de performances hebdomadaires, dont le régisseur Wu Tsang fait également partie. Chaque mardi, sous le nom de “Wildness”, ils insufflent une dose d'électricité dans ce bar légèrement endormi et injectent des beats pompantes de Total Freedom et Nguzunguzu.. Des liens y sont forgés et des conflits de générations, classes et sexes y surviennent.
