James Whitney Lapis
Hypnotic and trance inducing kaleidoscopic patterns, created using primitive computer equipment, oscillate in and out in an array of colours set to Indian sitar music.
Kenneth Anger Kustom Kar Kommando
In this 3 minute short, a young man is seen buffing a customized ‘hot rod’ (1930’s classical car) to the tune of Dream Lover by The Paris Sisters. Anger's original intent for Kustom Kar Kommandos was to create a feature length film centering on the role of cars as fetish objects among young American males, but only this short was realized.
Peter Grobe Schnitte
A graphical experiment in four parts in which an image of a girl's face is sliced into strips, moving horizontally or vertically in alternating cycles against each other.
Marie Menken Lights
A sensual and joyful abstract film celebrating light, colour and movement in every frame. Christmas decorations, motion-blurred neon and car brake lights turn into a form of handwriting using the camera as a writing device.

A psychedelic short made together with Nam June Paik, consisting of found footage of different light sources such as moving reflected lights, strobed lights, and the pure white light from the cathode ray tube. The soundtrack for the film is a sampled and modified version of Turn! Turn! Turn! by the Byrds.
