The exhibition Paradise Now brings together expressions of protest, political reflections and artistic manifestos realized by visual artists, dramaturges, cinematographers and musicians, with work by Julian Beck, Yazan Khalili, Tracey Rose, Rabih Mroué, Avi Mograbi, Jem Cohen, Sam Durant, Sven ‘t Jolle, John Bock, Wang Bing, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Han Bing, Santiago Alvarez, Gil Scott-Heron and Khaled Jarrar. The starting point for this exhibition was Paradise Now, a memorable performance by Julian Beck. From here the exhibition bounces constantly back and forth between present and past in an attempt to mirror the anger of then and now, through a select group of artists and a limited number of works.
